My First Week

Overall, I think my first week here went pretty dang well.
And I have to say.. a lot better than I expected.
I'm sure you're dying to hear my day-by-day experiences, so before you ask, I will tell.
:)

On Monday, I woke up at 7 o'clock even though my first class started at nine. I took a shower the night before so all I had to do that morning was fix the hair, do the make up, and eat a nice, big breakfast.
Too bad I didn't get around to eating..
I was soo nervous about being late, or getting lost on my way to class that it seriously took me FOREVERRR to get ready.
I know I take way too long to get ready anyways, but this was just ridiculous!

I walked into my first class (Intro. to Weather and Climate) and scrambled to the first open seat I could find.
(which was a little hard since there are 300 kids packed into this room)
My professor, who is a really cool guy, started talkin' about all these weather terms that I had no idea even existed. I mean, it woulda been a little easier if I had at least heard of these words, but they all sounded like a mix between French, German, and those strange kids on TV that you see trying to make up their own secret language.

My next class (Making American Culture) was a little better..
and I do mean a LITTLE.
My professor told the class (this time 500 kids) that 1/4 of us would drop out of this course because of how difficult it was.

Say what?

I was kinda diggin' Tuesday...

My first class (An Economic Perspective) was really cool. My professor is totally chill and incredibly funny.

The Structure of Mind and Behavior, my second class, seemed like it was going to be a really interesting class. The professor is great, and one of my good friends is in the class with me...
which definitely makes all the difference
:)

So yeah,
school went great that day, but it wasn't 'til the evening that I hit a little bump in the road..
I was back at the dorm, washing my dishes in the bathroom when
all of a sudden
the electricity goes out!
Of course, just my luck...
there is a girl in the bathroom stall and she came running out, immediately asking me why I turned the lights out on her.
Oh gosh..
was this really happening?
My second day and I already have someone that thinks I'm horrible.
GREAT...

There wasn't a whole lot that occurred on Wednesday.
I attended the same classes I had on Monday and everything went smoothly.
However, after carrying about what seemed like 30 pounds of school stuff in my arms, I realized a backpack was a necessity.
(A stinkin' cute backpack that is)

Thursday was my least favorite day of the week..

In my first class, I was sitting next to a guy that was...
different?
Long story short, he ended up falling asleep and he kept nodding off in my direction, occassionally hitting my shoulder and or my arm with his forehead.
Um.. not my idea of comfortable..

My second class went great.. but then I had to attend a "study session" for the class I had gone to that morning. We have to go to these sessions for 5 weeks and if our first test grade is above a 75%, they become optional.
I walked into the engineering building (where my session was being held) and it looked like the smallest building I had seen so far on campus.
I was in room 307, which means my classroom was on the third floor.
Looking at the building from the outside, there was no way there was 3 floors to this thing.
And studying on the roof was outta the question for me.
I walked inside and luckily, a teacher was standing in the hall, so I asked him and sure enough, there were 3 floors to this building.
(coulda fooled me)
It all turned out great though, cause I ended up having 2 friends in there that I didn't even know had the same class as me!

To finish off the week...
Friday went great.
I finished with my classes at eleven and then went to the mall and bought a backpack.
:)

I will blog later this week and let you know if anything interesting happened during my second week.
Hopefully it won't be another kid falling asleep on me, or girls thinking I like to leave them hostages in dark bathrooms..

Peace!

She didn't laugh about the bathroom lights thing? I did. lol

And that guy who fell asleep in class was probably just trying to cuddle up to ya! Bring him a pillow next time!

Are you trying to say you don't like to cuddle?! That one of my top ten favorite things to do! lol
